Fast-track your Career while Saving Money: Canadian Colleges and Trade Schools

Looking for a more affordable education? Interested in practical skills training? What if you could get your diploma in less time? Good news! Colleges and trade schools in Canada offer quicker, more affordable, and more hands-on training to prepare students to be job-ready when they graduate. Colleges and trade schools also tend to provide more flexibility within their programs and due to smaller class sizes, students benefit from one-on-one attention.

International students are happy to learn that many colleges offer Pathway Programs to enter full university programs. Students start with a two-year degree or certification program and transfer the credits to a top university, from which they receive a four-year degree.

The following colleges and trade schools offer (or are linked to) ESL programs for international students interested in learning English to advance their careers as well as for academic program preparation:

Herzing College (Montreal and Toronto)

High job placement rates at Herzing College are due to a focus on hands-on training and strong ties to industry across Canada. The college has a long history of hosting Latin American students and offers robust student support from an award-winning faculty. Herzing does not offer ESL programs but the school is affiliated with top English language schools, which are located at the doorstep of each campus. Students study English in the morning and can pursue their program in the afternoon at the college.
