The Imperial College PhD Scholarship scheme aims to provide up to 50 research students with great potential the opportunity to work within their chosen research field with the support of an excellent supervisor.
Successful candidates will receive the following financial support for up to 3.5 years:
• Full funding for tuition fees
• A stipend of £20,600 per year to assist with living costs
• A consumables fund of £2,000 per year for the first three years of study
GCU offers an exciting range of scholarships, including one offering £2,000 per year and a 5% discount for overseas students (non-EU) paying their annual tuition fees in full.
Undergraduate students from Brazil may also be entitled to a 12-month scholarship programme (six months academic study and three months industry placement) including a monthly allowance for living expenses, a one-time ‘settling in’ allowance for any initial costs, return flights to the UK, a one-off payment towards health/travel insurance, and one year’s tuition fee.
For PhD students, the scholarship will pay tuition fees for each year of study as well as a monthly stipend.
The Cambridge Trust has grants that are designated for Brazilian postgraduates. This includes 30 fully funded PhD positions, 20 of which are for STEM subjects while the remaining 10 are for arts, humanities, and social sciences. There are also short-term fellowships for post-doc researchers through the Science without Borders scheme.
Science without Borders (Ciencia sem Fronteiras) Scholarships
Scholarships are available for both full PhDs and sandwich PhDs at Birmingham as part of the Brazilian government’s Science without Borders programme.
The university is offering eight scholarships worth £5,000 towards the cost of tuition fees for an eligible one year master’s programme.

University of Nottingham has an extensive scholarship portfolio, which aims to reward excellence and promote diversity among its student body.
The university is pleased to be participating in the Brazilian government’s Ciência sem Fronteiras UK (CsF UK) scheme. CsF UK is open to Brazilian undergraduate students who wish to spend one year in the UK, and to Brazilian postgraduate students who wish to undertake a PhD or to spend a short-term postgraduate research period in the UK.
Other scholarships which Brazilian students are eligible to apply for include:
• Latin America Masters Scholarship in partnership with Santander
• Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Research Excellence
• Dean of Engineering Research Scholarship for International Excellence
Nationality Scholarships are offered to overseas fee-paying students for up to £1,000.
Vice-Chancellors Scholarship offers £4,000 towards tuition fee costs.
LSBU Graduate Loyalty Scheme: For international students graduating from undergraduate programmes at LSBU and progressing to postgraduate studies, scholarships exist for a 15% reduction in postgraduate tuition.
The International Scholarship is an option for qualified students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, consisting of a £2,000 discount on the first year of fees.
The Nottingham Business School International Scholarship offers up to half off tuition fees for MSc offer holders.

The University of Sheffield Santander Postgraduate Scholarship offers a £5,000 tuition fee reduction for postgraduate master’s students.

In partnership with Santander Universities, the University of Southampton offers a range of scholarships for students from Brazil for foundation, undergraduate, or master’s degrees. These partial scholarships, for up to £5,000 for one year of studies, are available to all students who hold an offer to study at the University of Southampton.
The University of Sunderland has developed a range of scholarships for overseas students, offering automatic fee discounts at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The University Scholarships for Overseas Students offers a 25% tuition fee discount for all levels of study (undergraduate, master’s, and PhD), and all subjects (except for degrees taught by the Medical School).
Overseas Research Scholarships are offered including zero tuition, plus a £5,000 per year stipend for PhD students starting in October 2016 (which are open to all subject areas except for the Medical School).

Self-funding (non-European Union) international students may be eligible for a scholarship of up to £1,500 a year. This applies to our foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. Scholarships are awarded as a fee reduction for every year of full-time study. If you are sponsored by your company, government or similar, you are not entitled to the international scholarship.
