Saint Mary’s is a welcoming community of approximately 1,500 students, talented professors, and dedicated staff. Life at Saint Mary’s
When arriving on the vibrant campus of Saint Mary’s College, international students join a community of amazing women from across the United States and around the world. The college boasts five residence halls that offer a large list of amenities. With over 60 clubs and organizations, opportunities exist for each student to find their passion. As the Saint Mary’s campus is located across the street from the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s students enjoy taking part in the extracurricular activities they have to offer as well.
The English Language School at Saint Mary’s provides intensive language courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels that focus on preparing students for higher education and life in the US. Students can begin their program at any of the session start dates and continue studying until they complete the advanced level. Varied teaching methods, small class sizes, and individualized attention aid students in gaining the skills needed to excel in learning English!
Saint Mary’s College offers conditional admission to students who do not have a TOEFL or IELTS score or students who have scores below the required minimum score for full admission. After completing the English Language School, students can begin their degree program.
Saint Mary’s College ranks 76 among the “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges” for 2014, published by U.S. News. Saint Mary’s offer rigorous academics with more than 30 majors. The most popular majors for international students are Business Administration, Biology, and the special Dual Degree in Engineering.
Dual Degree in Engineering
Saint Mary’s College and the University of Notre Dame jointly offer a five-year, dual degree program that allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree (either a BA or BS) from Saint Mary’s in four years, and a second bachelor of science (BS) in engineering degree from Notre Dame after a fifth year of study.
Studying at Saint Mary’s provides the opportunity to join more than 20,000 living alumnae who’ve studied in Saint Mary’s historic buildings.
