Saint Mary’s College:
“Transforming the Face of Women’s Global Leadership”
“I’ve learned to live life with passion and empathy, authenticity and a sense of adventure.” –Adrienne Huschke, Saint Mary’s student, graduating in 2016
Currently ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top “100 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges,” Saint Mary’s College, located in Notre Dame, Indiana (close to the city of South Bend), has been making waves in women’s education since 1844.
For international students interested in polishing their English language skills before applying to the college, the Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership boasts an intensive English Language School which prepares students for higher education and living in the US.
“Showing the World What Sisterhood Really Means”
It’s simple. An all-women’s education means far greater leadership opportunities for female students, and increased leadership opportunities lead to heightened self-confidence, greater dreams realized, and exponentially more women impacting the world, creating global change.
A Two for One: The Dual Engineering Degree
Saint Mary’s College and the University of Notre Dame jointly offer a five-year, dual degree program, allowing students to earn a bachelor’s degree (either a BA or BS) from Saint Mary’s in four years, and a second bachelor of science (BS) in engineering degree from Notre Dame after completing a fifth year of study.
Research Opportunities Abound
Students can choose from thirty rigorous undergraduate majors and three graduate programs: Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Master of Science in Data Science, and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology.
Scholarship and Financial Aid Opportunities
More than 98% of Saint Mary’s students receive some form of financial aid. International students can generally expect to receive scholarships between $10,000 to $20,000 per year to help fund their studies. International students do not need to specifically apply for scholarships, but are instead reviewed for available funds when their completed admission application is reviewed.
The Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL)
For 16 years, CWIL has promoted life-changing, intercultural engagement by empowering women to step into leadership roles to spur global change. The Center facilitates the discussion surrounding domestic and global diversity issues, the roles of women, and the ties between gender and culture through justice-based educational opportunities.
“Preparing students to make a difference in the world” is part of the Saint Mary’s mission. The College welcomes passionate women from around the world to join the rich legacy of alumnae who are “transforming the face of global leadership.”
