With over 50,000 students (including over 5,000 international students), The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is one of the largest universities in the US.
UT Austin has over 50 years of experience teaching English as a second language and ensuring the academic success of thousands of international students. All faculty members have graduate degrees, speak more than one language, have lived or traveled outside of the US, and have at least five years of experience.
Customized specifically for the needs of students, the Academic English Program AEP prepares students for graduate studies and the English Language Program (ELP) supports prospective undergraduate students, as well as people studying English for business and general communication.
UT Austin has longstanding ties with Latin American institutions including student and faculty exchange, research collaboration, and more. The university aims to double the number of students studying in Latin America by 2020, with the majority of the growth being in Mexico, a country of particular focus. Argentina is another country with which UT Austin has a successful partnership. Many programs exist to support scholarly work in Argentina , Mexico, and Brazil as well.
The International Office excels in offering and executing customized programs for groups. Current partners include the Mexican/American Fulbright Commission (COMEXUS), Proyecta 100,000, Fulbright Argentina, and Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI).
